Professional Background 

Paul Norman is an accomplished human resources executive with over two decades of leadership experience in organisational transformation, talent management, and people strategy. He has served as Group Chief Human Resources Officer of MTN Group since 1997, playing a pivotal role in shaping the company’s culture, leadership development, and employee engagement across its multi-country footprint. 

With a strong foundation in both the transport and telecommunications industries, Paul has led initiatives that have strengthened MTN’s people agenda, aligning talent management with the Group’s strategic ambitions and growth objectives.  

His leadership has been instrumental in building MTN’s reputation as an employer of choice and in advancing diversity, inclusion, and leadership excellence throughout the organisation. 

Paul also serves as a director on several Boards within the MTN Group, contributing his expertise in organisational development and governance to support the Group’s long-term sustainability and success. 

Qualifications 

Paul holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and an MBA, reflecting a blend of behavioural insight and strategic acumen that underpins his approach to human capital leadership.
