Professional Background: 
Ouma is a seasoned legal, governance, and risk executive with over 40 years of experience having practised as an attorney and an advocate of the high court of South Africa as well as holding prosecution and executive leadership roles.

She is renowned for her expertise in institutional turnaround, regulatory risk oversight, and anti-corruption governance. She previously served as the Deputy National Director of Public Prosecutions at NPA and as the Chief Risk and Governance Officer for Telkom SA SOC Ltd, where she had executive accountability for enterprise risk, ethics, and legal compliance.

In her international capacity, she provides strategic leadership for continental initiatives combatting financial crime and illicit financial flows across Africa. Throughout her career, she has been instrumental in driving King III and King IV compliance and has successfully managed complex stakeholder environments within State-Owned Entities.

She previously served as Chief Risk and Governance Officer at Telkom SA SOC Ltd, where she oversaw enterprise risk management, compliance, ethics, and governance functions.

Ouma is Chair of the Africa Chapter, Global Coalition to Fight Financial Crime.

Qualifications: BProc, Bachelor of Laws, Master of Laws, and is currently a PhD candidate.
