In many of the markets in which MTN operates, the spread of COVID-19 in early 2020 quickly led to complete lockdown, a halt of economic activities and restrictions on people’s movements. MTN acted swiftly to address the challenges brought on by this, prioritising our people, customers and communities, as well as looking after our business.

As we continue to navigate this “new normal”  together – summoning all the information we have, sharing what’s new in real-time and asking everyone in our global community to recognise that we will get through this together – with resolve, compassion and care.

MTN remains committed to harnessing the power of partnerships to curb the spread of COVID-19 and responding in a manner that can help to flatten the curve faster and reduce the devasting impacts that this virus has had on lives and livelihoods.  We believe that through our collective action, we can all enjoy the benefits of a better tomorrow.
