Respecting the rights of all people

MTN is committed to respecting people’s rights related to freedom of expression and access to information. We make every effort to protect the rights of all people using our services in the respective jurisdictions in which we operate.

MTN has zero-tolerance for all forms of abuse and exploitation of children. To ensure the responsible use of digital communications we support and are signatories of key international agreements that aim to create significant barriers to the misuse of mobile networks and services for hosting, accessing, or profiting from child sexual abuse.

MTN values the trust that its customers place in the company when they provide personal information, and when they use digital services. MTN ensures the rights of customers are protected by safeguarding their personal information and privacy. We also hold third parties that may have access to our customer data to the same standards that we adhere to.

We believe in the rights of all people to enjoy the right to privacy and security in their use of digital, telephonic and internet-based communications. We maintain rigid controls in order to protect our customers against cyberattacks.
