Product Manager – Cloud Services

Job Mission:
Develop global product strategy, portfolio and roadmap/Go-to-market strategy for Cloud Services, across various service models e.g. IaaS, SaaS, Naas, and SECaaS, and overall lifecycle management owning a shadow P&L for this family of products

KPA Duties:
• Manage complete product lifecycle for global networks from feasibility assessment and new product development to subsequent product evolution and enhancement o Define Cloud Services Go-to-market strategy focusing on innovation and revenue streams, working hand in hand with product managers of MTN Nigeria and South Africa o Define SLAs and customer-specific reporting of this service, both internal (OpCos) and external end customers o Produce documentation of service: marketing manuals, annexes to contracts (Service Description, Manual of Operations, Pricing, Terms of Service), training documentation and business presentations o Evaluate and assess solutions to meet clients needs and determine which deployment models best captures the business essence of the client o Coordinate with the different areas of the company for the procurement, implementation and monitoring services, especially with technical areas o Define pricing of cloud solutions, including internal OpCo pricing and business case o • Define 3 to5 year strategic product roadmap for global cloud services o Lead a team of global experts and virtual teams around the world that are tasked to identify strategic partners for delivery of new products and services that can be implemented across MTN OpCos for the CloudServices portfolio o Define the global partner and vendor ecosystem for cloud solutions: Iaas, Naas, Caas, SEaas • Define and update the available installed base of Cloud services across MTN Group as part of a product catalogue o Ensure that the commercial model is optimized and performs well o Define SLAs and customer-specific reporting of this service, both internal (OpCos) and external end customers o Produce documentation of service: marketing manuals, annexes to contracts (Service Description, Manual of Operations, Pricing, Terms of Service), training documentation and business presentations Supervisory / Leadership / Managerial Tasks: • Define & establish frameworks & methodologies for Group products team to follow • Provide strategic insight & direction to influence major platform decisions • Possess the authority; presence and integrity to command respect from colleagues and from external contacts • Planning and organising • Foster Team and independent work • Foster cross functional collaboration between IT, products, technology , Sales and marketing to deliver ENTERPRISE services • Vulnerabilities (control span) • Embargoed countries and US product restrain • No direct control over OpCo’s marketing approach to ENTERPRISE . • Limited resources and skills in some operations. • Rapid growth of the products and services MTN Group. • Heavy reliance on collaboration and partnerships to deliver ENTERPRISE

Requirements:
• BSC IT/Computer Engineering • MBA/Business qualification preferred Training: • Cloud Services • Emerging Enterprise Architectures • Financial management • Product management • Software training Knowledge: • Excellent understanding of Cloud Services • Understanding of IT managed service market • Understanding of key verticals
• 10+ years overall IT experience with a good technical background, of which 3+ years in services in a marketing role • Very good understanding of Network Protocols • Experience in leading Application development on platforms like Amazon, Rackspace, Google Apps Engine, Sierra Wireless, Jasper wireless
• Strategic thinking • Commercial acumen and financial competency • Commercial skills • Partner management
